What happens when it doesn't go to plan.
They say you never turned up.
Arriving is what releases the deposit, so there is nothing left to argue about afterwards.
They don't turn up.
You still get paid. You made the trip, so the deposit releases to you when the window closes.
The location check fails.
Your client can release it by hand. If nobody releases it before the deadline, they are not charged.
The job is cancelled in advance.
Either side cancels before the window opens, the hold drops off, and nobody is charged.
You arrive late.
Inside the window, it releases. After the deadline, it does not.
You need more time.
Move the deadline once, before it passes. Your client sees the new window before it takes effect.
A colleague goes instead of you.
Send them the job from your phone. It records that someone arrived, not who.

Will clients agree to it?
Plenty of them already send a deposit by hand before you set out. This is the same ask, without the chasing.
Is it on top of my price?
No. It is part of what they already owe you, taken earlier and released on its own.
How much should I ask for?
You set it per job. Enough to cover the trip is the usual place to start.
Does my client need the app?
They accept the hold from a link. There is nothing to install to put a deposit down.
When does the money reach me?
It leaves the hold the moment it releases, and settles like any other card payment.
Do you take a cut of the deposit?
No. The deposit reaches you in full. Kamir is paid by the monthly price, not out of your money.
What does Kamir cost?
€10 a month once we launch, however many visits you make. It is free while we are in early access, and we tell you before anything is charged.
